If a dancer is not as strong in one particular style, they should still try their best, and show us a strong work ethic. All black, form-fitting attire must be worn for auditions. Hair must be pulled into a neat bun. Students must wear appropriate shoes for the styles of dance in which they will be auditioning. Tights are not required.

All students must submit an online audition form prior to auditions. Dancers should indicate the styles for which they will be auditioning, as well as select the maximum amount of dances in which they would like to compete. A Parent must e-sign the audition form. Your maximum number of routines and add-ons may be adjusted before auditions by emailing us, but may not be adjusted after auditions. Empower Team dancers do not require an audition, and may simply enroll in team classes once fall enrollment opens. SIGN UP TO AUDITION

Dancers audition for a spot on BCS Company. Empower Team does not require an audition to join. Dancers should attend the auditions for ONLY the dance styles in which they would like to compete. ALL dancers must attend the ballet portion of the audition. Prior to auditions, dancers will receive choreography videos for the styles they selected on their audition form. The combinations on each video will be the combinations with which the dancers will be evaluated at auditions. It is in the dancers' best interest to learn the choreography in advance. Dancers will be given a number to wear at the start of auditions, and will conduct the ballet audition all together. For the remaining styles, after reviewing the choreography, students will be called in in groups to perform before the judging panel. ​ BCS Company Jazz & Contemporary/Lyrical Audition Recommended Skills (does not apply to minis) -Right, left, center splits -Double/triple pirouette -Turns in á la seconde -Right, left, center grand jeté -capezio/calypso

Once auditions have been completed, parents will receive an email if their dancer has been invited to join BCS Company. The email will also indicate if the dancer has been selected for the Production routine, as well as placements for ballet & technique classes. Invitations to join Company are based on the technique a student displays in their audition, as well as attitude and professional behavior. Previous attendance records, behavior, work ethic, and teamwork are also taken into account for former team members.

In order for the dancer to accept their spot on BCS Company, parents must e-sign the team contract online. Parents who submit their dancer's contract by June 1 will receive a free fall registration fee. The final contract due date is June 26. Upon signing the contract, dancers must also submit a deposit in the amount of $100 that will go toward the 1st team fee payment. Once all contracts have been received, dancers will be cast in group numbers. Dancers may also be chosen for solos, duos, and trios. Once all numbers have been cast, the rehearsal schedule will be sent out to all members, and students may register for their classes and rehearsals through the customer portal. Choreography fees are due on August 1st, & the 1st team fee payment is due August 15th.
