If your child is flipping over chairs at home and doing sommersaults off the couch, then you have found the right class for your child! This class introduces basic tumbling and acrobatic moves such as sommersaults, back bends, handstands, crab walks, and more! Flexibility and strength are also developed through each skill. This is a non-recital class.

Tip, Tap, Tumble™
Now is the perfect time to explore the arts with your child, and to watch him or her grow in discipline and confidence. Tip, Tap, Tumble™ will get your child up and moving, while instilling a long-lasting love of dance in each little heart! The class is divided into sections: Ballet, Tap & Acro/Tumbling. Students will continue learning ballet basics including body positions, chassé, jeté, coupé and bourrée. They will be introduced to basic tap techniques such as toe tap, heel dig, step, brush, and shuffle. Students will also learn basic acrobatic & tumbling moves including sommersaults, crab walk, spiders, and more! Students will have a minute to change shoes between each section of the class. This is a recital class, and students will perform 2 dances.

Beginning Acro/Tumbling 1
For students starting out in acro & tumbling, many of them begin at home by experimenting with chairs, walls, and beds! This class is the best place for them to learn how to safely execute all the moves they are dying to do! Students will begin training for cartwheels, backbends, handstands and more, as well as learning basic techniques that will help them learn aerials, walkovers, and flip-flops as they advance. This is a non-recital class.

Boys Breaking
Young b-boys will learn the best beginner break dancing moves in this energetic and fun breaking class! From basic footwork to stalls & head spins,this boys-only class will be a fast favorite. Grab your crew, and sign up to start breaking together! The class participates in the recital, but there is no costume fee.

Beginning Tap 1
Tap is a unique style of dance that teaches rhythm and movement through intricate footwork and sounds created by the dancer's feet. It is a fun style to learn, and helps in creating a well-rounded dancer! Dancers in Intro Tap will perfect basic techniques such as toe tap, heel dig, step, brush, and shuffle, and will expand their tap skills to include spank, flap, ball change, and more!

Ballet is the fundamental base for all dance styles. This is a classical dance form teaching grace, precision, discipline, and classroom etiquette. Ballet will develop strength and flexibility while teaching dancers correct technique. Ballet is highly recommended for all dancers. Beginning ballet focuses on expanding technique and vocabulary including body positions, barre, and center work.

Beginning Jazz 1
Always a student favorite, this high-energy class will enhance technique and stage presence for your growing performer! Jazz teaches dancers to isolate different parts of their bodies while still placing the focus on technique. Dancers will enhance leaps and turns while adding the element of performance to their fundamental training.
Enrollment in ballet is also required for Jazz students in order to advance levels each year.

Ballet will develop strength and flexibility while teaching dancers correct technique. Ballet is highly recommended for all dancers. Advanced Ballet 1 is for students who have had at least 2 years of formal ballet training, or are a member of BCS Company. Class will involve barre work and center work, as well as preparation for a recital performance.
